Accidental Snowflakes in July

Jerimiah was trying to create a "Sierpinski Hexagon" in a painting and couldn't get it to work at a critique today; he mentioned that I perhaps could figure it out, so after the 6 hours of figure sculpting, I broke my "No Caffeine" code of ethic less than a week in it and hunkered down at Paris on the Platte with a double mocha and cheesemelt sandwhich to figger it out.

I first tried to recreate the Sierpinski Triangle that I made before and lost the file to, but was surprised when the first thing that my little animation chugged out was a different fractal all together!

I don't know what this fractal is called; it's similar to a Koch Snowflake, but it has all those damn holes. Wildly enough, I figured in short time that the formula to make this fractal is basically the inverse of what it is to make the Sierpinski Triangle. It has to be noted that I am in love with the Sierpinski Triangle and am contemplating getting it tattooed on my arm.

This raised another idea within me; if the inverse of something is as beautiful or as interesting the Original Thing, you could say that all binary relationships are beneficial and not opposite at all; light/dark, fast/slow, blue/orange, manic/depressive, Heaven/Hell.

I wonder what all that stuff in the middle is about?

I came back to school to partake in the free Tuesday night figure drawing session. Oddly, I was the only one that attended and I got a kick ass 18-year-old model with great taste in books that allowed me to draw her for three hours straight with the same pose. This is what I finished the night with:

I started driving home and decided that it would probably be of my best interest to just find some hidden nook at the school and sleep there on school days, since I start my day there at 8:00 am and sometimes, like today, leave there 14 hours after. I may just take this to the limit and get rid of most of my stuff, get the cheapest studio apartment I could get my hands on and stay over as much as possible. If anything it'll keep me focused and progressing,

and hey, it's not like I'm getting fucked anyways...
