Sometimes when i get bored at work and start screwing around (or when i srew around and work at 12:00 am on a tuesday)
I check out some sites to keep me entertained. I used to love this one site called swanky. It was chopped full of
the baddest mo'fo designing on the web (it did, it said right there, "The Baddest Mo'Fo Designers on the web", it was cool like that)
People like Dobi, Beth John, Taber and Dustin
used to rock that place and turn heads in the process. It was something to look at during school and get motivated to learn HTML, Flash, Photoshop, Javascript,
Whatever. It was exciting, shit happened in there. One day it just sort of died. For a year. Then it came back as a Literary Magazine thing,
but then I checks it again:
Now, its just not there. Kinda sucks. I never was a member, cause, well, I sucked. Then.
Seems like it used to be a fun place to go to, there were lots of members, so the chance that someone did something new was high, so
the site was always fresh. There aren't any cool sites anymore it seems. Everything's fragmented in the "highschool/college/twentysomething - web design clique thing,
and maybe just as well.
