i finally got out of my zombie way of living, an afternoon late i found out,
on wednesday we launched PlayFairToys at work
while i made up for lost meetins with mr sandman.
they make: (ah hem) "non-violent, gender-neutral, educational toys kids love"
only in Boulder i swear. this town is a disneyland where reality stops happening and
everybody holds hands and sings campfire songs as people on pearl street named Reignbeau
(
Rainbow
)
get dressed up as big hound dogs
and easter bunnies and can juggle five sharp knives while fitting themselves in a
small glass box doing card tricks, where the homeless people make more than me and go to mexico in the winter,
where everyone can play some kind of instrument and beg for your change, where i can go to a coffee
shop located on any corner i happen to be on, where people have peaceful demonstrations
(this is true, happened on saturday) on the fact that there is a Gap for Kids, and Gap for Guys
and a Gap for Grrls (gender and age persecution?)
i like the freedom this town gives, i like the open minds that look at mountains all day and hike on lunch breaks
with their unleashed dogs in the flatiron mountains. but sometimes it seems its because the residents here have so
much money they have time to fight fights that do not need to be fought and decide no one else can move in to their
tulip striped town to share the wealth. people drive with their dragon sized cars to go to environmental meetings just
because they can burn the money but don't want to burn the trees. hearts are in the right place, heads are in their
(or an) ass.
the skatepark in town is slowly being stripped away. the hollow skeletons of the big beast
of the ramps makes me wonder what the new one in july is going to be like,
and what i'm supposed to do until then.
