theres this really cool coffee shop in middletown, connecticut called
klekolo world coffee. in january, the
day before i split back to colorado (16th) , i snatched a little spider
plant shoot from this massive, sprawling, 20-foot beast of a plant.
i took the sprout, wrapped it into a wet paper towel, and snuck it
into my backpack to bring home to co via the airplane ride.
well, it took me a day or two to remember that the plant was even in
there. i took it out, gave it a grimace look, filled an old film case
with water and left it on the window sill of my dorm floor. i again
remembered it about a week later, i checked it out, all the water was
gone, so i filled it up with water, brought into my room, and put it
right by my desk. it looked a little brown on the edges, but i thought
it would survive.
well, its been bout another week later, its a bit more brown, a bit
more limp -lifeless, some might say, but i still have high hopes. some
people keep dogs before going all the way and having children, i guess
i need a bit more practice on my argriculture skills...
still have high hopes.
