i found this picture in the back of my geography recitation book:
it has to be one of the most absurd pictures i've ever seen. not because it
depicts (quite graphically) some poor guy getting mauled by a couple thousand pound buffalo,
not because i found it in a geography book, not even because the artist of this fine piece
added such detail to the drawing as having a camera and hat flail away from the now airborn man
and show where exactly the mighty (horns?) of the buffalo ripped his body to pieces.
no, none of those, the picture's absurdly hilarious. but the fact is, this book was put together by the
university of colorado in boulder faculty, as to accompany my main geography book. and guess what?
there are no buffaloes in boulder, colorado.
nope, sorry. we shot them all when making room to build the actual town.
that would make our team logo:
ridiculous.
since boulder is quite the pc town, i'm going to submit my now correct logo in the hopes that
we can all learn from our mistakes:
